Test

I tried to upgrade my version of WP and failed. So I had to re-up from a backup since none of the fixes in that thread worked for me. So if stuff is broken around here it’s because I need to mess with permissions. Again.

I had a big fail, too, when I updated, but luckily when I posted my exact issues on the help board, they answered them within hours and got me up and running pretty quick. Which was good, because I stupidly did not bother to back up my files first or realize that there was an automated updater. Because I am New To The Internet.

    Good luck!

I had the same problem referenced in the link above and for whatever reason, none of the fixes worked. So I downgraded for now. I used up all my energy on that project. :) I’m going to look into the auto-updater.

I have a lot of reasons I stopped journaling on my own domain, but one of them is that it was Too Much Like Work.

I’m pretty close to being Done With This. My heart isn’t in it anymore.

I think it’s important to take your own pulse on these things every now and again. Now that my own mom is on Facebook, I get it. Oh do I ever, babe.

Yikes! I have been putting off upgrading WordPress for fear that something bad might happen.

Yeah, both my parents and 3 of my 4 siblings and their mates are on it, plus a big chunk of my childhood friends. This was the first time I tried to mix the Sara Astruc thing with the Real Name thing. I figured after all these years it would be fine, pretty much all my old friends know about this page. The results were DISASTROUS. Edited to add: Every time I type the word “yeah” I hear David in my head saying “Don’t say yeah.”

Scott– try installing the auto-updater plug in. I hear that works well. I need to try that next. If I don’t bail.
